Currently Reading

I’m still working on Me Before You. I’m getting through it kind of slowly, but that has nothing to do with the book, because it is fantastic, so far.

Crochet Projects

18 rows done in my March block. This block is turning out very different than the first 2,  a whole lot of yellow in this one. I’ve also started working on some of the solid color blocks that I’m also adding to the blanket. I’ll add a picture when I’ve finished them all and then you guys will be able to see the color scale I’ve been using.

The other new project I started this week is a dragon egg. I’m planning to make a cream on and a black one next, to match the ones from Game of Thrones. It turned out bigger than I was expecting, but I’m totally in love with it.

Also, I got a new crochet hook. It features my other favorite thing, a panda, and I am absolutely in love with it.

How did your week go? Let me know in the comments, or leave a link to your Sunday Post and I’ll stop by.

Summary via Goodreads:

And you thought the stepsisters were wicked….

I’m not who they think I am. A docile girl who meekly obeys her stepmother and stepsisters. Some kind of sick angel who cheerfully bears their mistreatment. That’s what I WANT them to think. Because then they won’t suspect what I’m really up to.

The ball, the prince – it’s all part of my plan to come out on top. Stepmother and her demented daughters will pay for every floor I have scoured, every sneer I have borne. They don’t know about the white magic, how I use it to enhance myself. They can’t see that my heart is black as midnight, rotten as a poisoned apple.

They’re about to find out.

That prince is mine.

Page 56:

“I have set the spell so everything that’s been enchanted will turn back to it’s true form at midnight. Even the things you put white magic on! You’ll have nothing but a pumpkin, two rats, a mouse, and a dowdy dress. So watch the clock or it could get quite embarrassing!”

I picked this one up as a freebie. The idea of Cinderella as the villain definitely made me curious. I’m planning to read it this weekend, and it should be a nice quick read.

What’s on your reading schedule for this weekend?

I hope you have a nice weekend.

WWW Wednesday #90 ~ March 16, 2016

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
 *What are you currently reading?
*What did you recently finish reading?
*What do you think you’ll read next?

 1. What are you currently reading?

I am about 130 pages into Me Before You and I’m loving it.

2. What did you recently finish reading?

This week, I finished the audio book of A Darker Shade of Magic, which was fantastic, and Indebted by Pepper Winters. This was a freebie and I was looking for a quick read, which it was. I kind of like dark, twisted books, but this one was a little too dark and twisty for my taste.

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Up next, I plan to read The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye.

What book are you currently reading? Let me know in the comments or leave a link to your WWW post.

Happy Reading!
